Tokyo Dageki Dan (Taiko=Japanese Drums)
Tokyo Dageki Dan is a music performers group founded in 1995 by the representative producer HIRANUMA Jin-ichi.
They seek possibilities of Taiko through new sensitivity not limited to any styles,
performing attractive stages of Taiko ensemble.
The field of performance spreads including “Japan’s Taiko” at National Theater,
various Taiko festivals, events at nationwide cultural facilities,
art appreciation meetings at high schools, and other events as well as appearance in movies such as "Nobo no Shiro" by Toho,
and also for stage music for stages, Taiko performance for "EXILE" nationwide tour,
Taiko instruction and providing music for “The Convoy Show (entertainment performance show)” ,
"Bugs Under Groove (dance)",
"Gekidan EXILE (theatrical company)", performing in a movie “Kyoki no Sakura” by Toei ,etc.
They aim at a stage art with new attractiveness of Taiko with their music sense based on high level performance technique and integrated structure staging for visual sense.
