◆Show&Practice◆
Watch a Kimono Performance & Take Photos with a Pro Dancer

Enjoy a unique chance to experience Nihon Buyo — a traditional Japanese dance with over 400 years of history — in the heart of Asakusa, Tokyo’s most iconic old town.
– Welcome Drink Service
Guests will be served a complimentary cup of matcha (traditional Japanese green tea) before the performance begins. Enjoy the taste of Japan as you relax and soak in the atmosphere before the show.
* Please note:
Matcha will be served until 5 minutes before the performance starts. Due to preparation timing, we are unable to provide drinks to guests arriving after that point. We kindly ask that you arrive early to enjoy this part of the experience.
This beginner-friendly program includes a live performance by a professional dancer wearing a beautiful kimono, followed by a gentle workshop where you can try graceful movements using a folding fan. No need to wear a kimono — just bring your curiosity!
– What Is Nihon Buyo?
Nihon Buyo is a refined form of Japanese classical dance that originated in the Edo period. It tells stories through slow, controlled movements and elegant gestures — often described as “art through the body.” Each motion expresses emotion, narrative, and traditional aesthetics unique to Japan.
– Performance Highlight: The White Makeup Tradition
At the climax of the show, the dancer appears wearing shironuri, the white stage makeup used in traditional Japanese theater and dance. This style has been passed down for generations and adds an extra layer of beauty and authenticity to the performance.
– Try It Yourself
After the performance, you’ll be guided through simple and graceful fan movements. Even if you’ve never danced before, our experienced instructor will help you enjoy the experience with ease and joy.
– Photo Time with the Dancer
End your visit with a commemorative photo session with the performer in full kimono and makeup. You’ll also enjoy a welcome drink and have a chance to chat, creating a personal connection with this unique cultural experience.
