MoN Takanawa presents “Shibahama Salon,” a new Yose experience.

Featuring authentic performances by talented artists, the program brings together a rich variety of entertainment, including rakugo, manzai, music, magic, acrobatics, and vocal impersonations. Talk sessions with the performers offer insights into their craft. Guests can relax on Tatami and enjoy the performances from traditional floor chairs, creating an inviting atmosphere for first-time visitors. Discover the world of Japanese classical performing arts, where laughter, humanity, and contemporary sensibilities converge beyond cultural boundaries.


Program
In August, enjoy the world of traditional Japanese performing arts in English. Focusing on rakugo, a form of storytelling popular with international Everyone, this time we will also be featuring tamasudare. Tamasudare is a traditional Japanese performing art in which small bamboo blinds are skillfully manipulated in time with songs to represent various objects such as fishing rods, bridges, and weeping willows. Please enjoy the laughter and emotion generated by rakugo, along with the amazing performance of tamasudare, live.
