ABOUT "GEAR"
First of its kind in Japan, GEAR is a unique non-verbal performance that stimulates your five senses with a moving story set in the future. Accompanied by impressive stage effects set up using techniques ranging from those used in Kabuki plays to the latest technologies, GEAR is bound to offer you a theatrical experience you will never forget!


STORY
“The miraculous heartwarming and moving rebirth.”
Even after humanity has disappeared, humanoid robots known as “Roboroids” continue to work.
One day, “ Doll” , once manufactured in this toy factory, appears before them.
Through the mysterious power that Doll possesses, the Roboroids begin to display unexpected abilities.
Meanwhile, through her encounters with the Roboroids, Doll gradually begins to move closer to becoming human.
But this peaceful and enriching time does not last long.
Triggered by a certain event, the factory suddenly spirals out of control.

And so…

Precautions for entering the theater
*Please be sure to bring a proof of age or student ID for all tickets other than general tickets.
*Please be seated at least 5 minutes before the performance time.
If you arrive after the performance time, we may not be able to show you to your seat for up to 15 minutes due to staging reasons.

*Loud and realistic sound is used in some scenes. Free earplugs and earmuffs are available for guests who are sensitive to loud sounds. They are available to guests of all ages, and no advance reservation is required. Please ask a member of staff on the day of your visit.
There are many dark scenes, and it may be completely dark. On the other hand, visual effects including strong light are used in the production. Please let us know in advance if you have any concerns about viewing the film.

*Eating and drinking are not permitted in the theater, but you may bring in plastic bottles, water bottles, and other containers with tight-fitting lids. Alcoholic beverages are excluded.
*Smoking is strictly prohibited on the theater floor. The area around the theater is designated by Kyoto City as an area where smoking is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from smoking on the streets and use smoking areas in the neighborhood.
*We reserve the right to refuse admission to patrons who are deemed to be in violation of theater etiquette as described below,and to ask them to leave the venue if they do not follow the instructions of our staff.
*For security and safety reasons, surveillance cameras have been installed in the lobby area, the theater, and in the auditorium.
